What is Cay Fortuna?

Cay Fortuna is a thrilling pirate-themed puzzle (match-3) adventure where you sail the high seas in search of legendary treasure. The core of the game is a unique puzzle board where your goal is to connect 4 or more identical pirate symbols to collect them.

But this is not just a simple matching game. It features strategic elements like a pirate shop, special items, and intense naval battles. You must manage your resources, use your wits to create powerful combos, and build your pirate inventory to become the most feared captain on the seven seas. Each move counts as you work to find the ultimate treasure chest.

How to Play

The rules are simple to learn but challenging to master. You start with 5 moves. Clicking on two adjacent symbols will swap them. If this swap creates a horizontal or vertical line of 4 or more matching symbols, they are collected, and new symbols fall from the top.

• Matching 4 symbols collects them and grants you 1 extra move.
• Matching 5 or more symbols creates a powerful cascade effect.
• The **Pirate** symbol represents your lives. You can find them on the board or buy them in the shop. If you run out of moves, 1 life will be automatically used to give you 5 more moves.
• The **Coin** symbol is your currency. Collect coins to spend in the **Shop** for powerful items and extra lives.
• Collecting 5 or more **Ship** symbols triggers a **Naval Battle**, where you can win bonus rewards.
• Special items can be bought or found, and each has a unique ability to help you clear the board.

Symbol & Item Guide

Understanding your items is key to victory:

• Pistol:
  Allows you to instantly remove any single symbol from the board (except special symbols).
• Sword:
  One symbol type si randomly chosen (e.g., Rum), and all instances of that symbol on the board are transformed into another random symbol.
• Goblet:
  Immediately shuffles the entire game board, giving you a fresh set of potential matches. Special symbols stays in the same row after the shuffle, so do not be afraid to use it!
• Hat:
  When used, this item clears a 3x3 area of symbols from the board, collecting any coins within that area.
• Flag:
  Allows you to remove a single symbol from the board and instantly add it to your inventory count.
• 

  Cannon & Ball:
  These items are your weapons. You need them to fight in the Naval Battles triggered by collecting Ship symbols.
• Wheel:
  It is your live in the Naval Battles because you need to dodge the enemy's balls.
• Rum:
  Easy with the Rum pirate! You can miss in the Naval Battle so try to avoid collecting this item to your loot.

Special Symbols

Watch out for these special symbols! They don't match like other items. Get them to the bottom row to trigger their unique effects.

• Chest:
  Get this Chest to the bottom row to open it and choose one of three hidden rewards!
• Fancy Chest:
  A rare prize. Get this to the bottom row to spawn four new standard chests onto the board. But be precise because you have only 15 moves to clear all the four chests. Any uncleared chests are removed from the board!
• Black Pirate:
  A dangerous foe who starts a countdown! Get him to the bottom row before time runs out, or he will steal a portion of your loot.
• Thief:
  This pesky rogue steals the loot from any matches you make while he's on the board. Get him to the bottom row to make him flee!
